Why does God allow trials? James 1:2–4 tells believers to “count it all joy” because every trial has purpose. God uses difficulties to strengthen our patience, deepen our faith, and draw our hearts away from earthly desires toward Him alone. Mature faith learns to want nothing but God’s presence and guidance.
Be encouraged—your trial is not wasted. God is doing something good.

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
