Opportunities

Galatians 6:9–10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

In Galatians 6:9-10, we are encouraged not to grow weary in doing good, for in due time, we will reap if we do not give up. We are urged to do good to all, especially to those in the household of faith. Opportunities come and go, and while many may seem insignificant, some hold great importance.

Abraham was blessed because he obeyed God’s command. In contrast, Jacob missed an opportunity to glorify God when he complained about his life to Pharaoh (Genesis 47:8-10). Similarly, King Saul and Israel missed their chance to show faith in God by fighting Goliath, but David seized the opportunity and triumphed (1 Samuel 17:10-11, 32).

These examples teach us the value of recognizing and taking the opportunities God gives us. By doing so, we can receive blessings and avoid missed opportunities. Let us commit to doing good and making the most of the opportunities that come our way.
